In 1991, Brian left Addax and established SpyroTech Corporation along with Charlie Kessler. The main direction of this company was to develop a filament wound golf shaft. SpyroTech introduced the first production filament wound golf shaft through an OEM in 1992.

Brian developed and manufactured process rollers for the paper producing industry.


Another significant project at SpyroTech was the development of a solid rocket motor case for AMROC. The 250,000 pound thrust case was one of the largest composite cases made at the time and was test fired at Edwards Air Force Base in 1993.
